Not only Tablets, they will incorporate LEDs also

Touchscreens have become the flavor of today among the numerous tech geeks there mainly due to its futuristic appeal and style of operation. At times these touchscreens don’t behave exactly what you told them to, which in more than one occasion is an indication that we havenot yet reached the pinnacle. This wave is expected to carry on in the year 2010, and bigger brands like Apple, Dell have already expressed their desire to be part of this.

Samsung is the next biggie planning to get into the touchscreen market next year. “We will have those products in the future or coming into next year,” Emmanuele Silanesu, the product marketing manager at Samsung Australia IT, said – as reported by Softpedia. The product category they are targeting is the Tablet – as it is becoming the latest fad – after touchscreen Smartphones. They give a smaller, sleeker and lighter form-factor than the netbook and the same touchscreen experience we came to love much in the Smartphones.

Like the netbooks, the tablet market is not saturated as of yet, mainly because of the fact that no one has managed to build a perfect touchscreen that can give you ease of use, multi-touch capability and instant responsiveness. No doubt it suffers from the fact that different people have different size and shape of fingers, and the swipes very with many factors. This also means that there is potential in investing in this market.

Not only touchscreens, but Samsung plans to start using LED backlit monitors all across its PC product line. This should materialize by the end of next year.
