Inotouch multi-touch display for netbooks
They are available both in Capacitive and resistive formats
Korean manufacturer of touchscreen products Inotouch recently showed off their new projective capacitive and resistive multi-touch displays at the recent KPD expo held in Korea.
The capacitive touchscreen is available in sizes from 2.8 - 32 inches in size. This screen accepts up to 2 points and accepts input from fingers or gloves. The resistive one is available in sizes of 2.5 - 10.1 inches. It accepts finger, gloves or stylus input.
The difference between a resistive and a capacitive screen is in the absence of multi-touch in a resistive screen. Resistive touchscreens are cheaper to make, but don’t support multi-touch. If the user presses with more than one finger the device can’t determine the position of the multiple fingers. On the other hand, a capacitive screen only requires the presence of your finger, not any pressure. It depends on your preferences which one would you chose.
Both are available for netbooks among other applications in portable devices.
