Asus U6V-B1-Bamboo
ASUS U6V-B1-Bamboo available for pre-order
If you’re looking for an environmentally-friendly laptop, there is now one available at Amazon for pre-order. At the very least, you can be assured that the exterior of the ASUS U6V-B1-Bamboo laptop is made from eco-friendly materials. The 12.1-inch ultraportable laptop features a Moso bamboo cover and a palm rest that is “artisan grade”. In addition, the notebook’s touch pad features bamboo fiber patterns that create the sensation of touching live bamboo.
The notebook is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 2.53GHz processor, and a Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS 256MB graphic card. It has a 2.5-inch 320GB hard drive, LED backlit display with 1280 x 800 pixels, 3GB RAM, an optical drive, and Windows Vista Business operating system.
Our first impressions at the Cebit of the bamboo cover and palm rest, left a very nice impression (the look and feel). Still this impression is based on the old sample design.
The laptop is available for pre-order on Amazon now for $1,999.
