Lenovo X61 ThinkPad equipped with Penyron processor
The Lenovo X61 ThinkPad is going to be equipped with Intels new Penryn CPU.

There are no official press reports, but the new X61 ThinkPads are presented on the website of Lenovo. These notebooks are equipped with Intels new Penryn CPU and they are available in some online shops in the USA (e.g. MacWall). For example the X61 costs $ 1.550,- and is equipped with the T8100 CPU, 1 GB working memory and a 120 GB hard disk. If you want to get the faster T8300 processor, then you have to spend $ 1.610,-. The rest of the hardware was not changed. Furthermore, there are news about the models R61 and T61. Now, they are shipped with SuSe Linux.
