It will be cheaper than the iPad of same configuration
The HP Slate is probably one of the most eagerly-awaited Tablets this year. Many hail this gadget as the first real competitor to the iPad. Mostly because it is from a company that is as well known as Apple, and it banks on the features that iPad lacks – including Flash support, multi-tasking and ability to run Windows software. External plug-ins is available to use it like a desktop.
Liliputing reports of the Spanish site Clipset saying that the Slate should cost about 400 euros ($545) to start with when it is launched in June. It could be available to US around that time and should come to Europe before September. Note that this price is in Europe and there is every possibility of a lower price in the US.
Liliputing also reports some specs leaks – it should run an Atom processor, and sport a memory card reader, a camera on the back of the tablet, and USB port(s). It also should be thicker than the iPad with a non-slip, rubber finish at the back – as reported by Liliputing.
