New Core i7 930 2.88GHz is coming

Reportedly, Intel has announced that the Core i7 920 2.66GHz will be discontinued in order to introduce the even better successor, the Core i7 930 2.88GHz. Nevertheless, it is not much of news since back in June there were rumors about this happening to the entire Core i7 series.
Allegedly, like the 920, the Core i7 930 is going to be a quad-core, eight-thread chip, which is designed for the LGA 1366 socket, even though It is widely considered that this platform will go in 2010 “Extreme Edition Only”.
The good news for the fans of the LGA 1366 budget-minded CPU with a remarkable overlocking power is that it will carry on existing, but under a new and with greater capabilities enabling the customers to enjoy the beginning of e new era of better Intel performance chips.
