Celeron is getting upgraded next year

Time for Intel Celeron too to get the new Dual-core SU2300 jacket

All are talking about the Pinetrail, rumors are abuzz with Intel’s forthcoming 32nm chip technology. This is something Intel chose not to disclose yet, but Fudzilla reports that the chip giant is planning to upgrade its Celeron line too in the second half of 2010. The Dual-core Celeron SU2300 processor that we find in the Acer Aspire 1410 is going to replace the older Celeron CPUs. This Celeron will have a clocking of 1.2GHz, and will aim to fill in the place where one can get a bigger and more powerful system for the price of a netbook. The Acer Aspire 1410 retails for just $399.

Whether this will put the netbooks out of business is still debatable, but those interested in bigger systems at the same price range will look forward to this upgrade.
