New MacBooks have RAM problems

DDR3 RAM modules of third party developers can cause problems with the new Apple MacBook.

The internet news site TÚAW reports, that some owners of the new MacBook with aluminium case had problems while upgrading their notebooks RAM. Those errors occurred if they used RAM from third party developers instead of the Samsung RAM which gets sold by Apple.
There have been reported system crashes and insecure operations even if there were installed RAM modules of the well-known manufacturer Crucial, which surely support the JEDEC standard. Only the Samsung DDR3 RAM, which gets offered by Apple, works without problems.
Those RAM modules are twice expensive as similar DDR3 modules from other manufacturers and they are sold out at most of the time. Therefore, it can happen that it’s currently impossible or at least very difficult for MacBook users to upgrade their RAM.
