There are rumours which say, that Intel and Nvidia want to cooperate. They are planning to bring an Nvidia chipset for the Intel Atom CPU on the market.

Nvidia

The internet news site Digitimes reports that the manufacturers Nvidia and Intel want to join their powers. Supposedly, Nvidia wants to make its MCP7A chipset compatible to the Intel Atom processor.
This chipset consists of a single chip with a full HD video processor (VP3) and a GeForce 9 graphic chip. Probably, the new chipset similar to the 9400m.
Currently, this Nvidia/Intel combination is made for nettops and not for netbooks. Netbook owners will still have to use Intel chipsets.
