Intel wants to develop a new netbook CPU
There are rumours which say that Intel wants to bring a 32nm netbook processor on the market.
There are media reports which tell that Intel has already plans for the year 2010 and they include the development of a new netbook processor. Those CPU will get the codename “Medfiled” and it will use 32nm technology.
The processor shall also provide memory controller, chipset, I/O and multimedia abilities besides the standard abilities of a CPU. There will be different versions of the processor. One will get produced for handheld computers and MIDs and it will offer a PowerVR graphic core (similar to the current GMA 500). The other one will get developed for netbooks and will provide more powerful Intel graphics.
