MSI has sought FCC approval for a 11.6” notebook

The 11.6” notebook has appeared alongside a 12.1” notebook in an FCC document

According to Wirelessgoodness.com MSI are behind a recent FCC document that contains details about two AMD Athlon Neo Dual Core MV-40 notebooks, one of which has a 11.6” screen and the other has a 12.1” display. The specifications of both notebooks appear to be the same, except for the display size, as listed on page 24 of the document. The components are similar to those used in MSI's Wind12 U230 12.1” notebook, but differ enough to cause speculation.

The mystery notebooks can be fitted with up to 2GB of DDR2 533MHz/667MHz RAM (1 x SO-DIMM), and should be able to handle a fair amount of multimedia tasks, as they are to be fitted with AMD's RS-690E and SB600 chipsets and have an HDMI output port. Whilst the FCC document is comprehensive, the exact details of the notebooks aren't easy to discern at this stage, but it's possible MSI will confirm the rumours soon, and announce their latest netbook-related intentions to us.
