128 GB SSD by Toshiba
Toshiba wants to develop a 128 GB SSD. Additionally, they start producing SSD’s based on MLC-NAND-Flash technology.
Toshiba’s new solid state drives is going to be available next month (some samples). Their new embedded module with MLC-NAND-SSD provides a disk size of 64 GB, and is available in 1.8 inch and 2.5 inch.
Furthermore, Toshiba advertised that they want to produce a 128 GB SSD. This new SSD weights only 15 grams, but reaches reading speeds up to 100MB/s and writing speeds up to 40MB/s. This is made possible by using parallel data transfer. The solid state disk gets connected to the computer by SATA. No words about price or availability so far.
