Lenovo introduces new ThinkPad series
The manufacturer Lenovo introduced new ThinkPad notebooks. The new models are the ThinkPad SL, R, T and W.
Lenovo ThinkPad SL:
The notebook series SL is made for business users and the notebooks provide three different display sizes. The SL300 offers a 13-inch display, the SL400 is equipped with a 14-inch screen and the SL500 provides a 15-inch display.
Furthermore, the notebooks can be equipped with a BluRay drive and a HDMI port is also included. It is possible to get a 3G/WiMAX card for the notebook as well. The laptops of the SL series cost between $ 699 and $ 1199 (~ € 445 - € 763). The notebook series SL400 and SL500 are already available and the series SL300 will be available in August.
Lenovo ThinkPad W:
The notebooks of the series ThinkPad W are mobile workstations which offer an ATI Mobility FireGL graphics. They are based on the ThinkPad T series.
Lenovo ThinkPad T:
The laptop series ThinkPad T offers an interesting feature. It is possible to switch between an integrated graphic chip and a dedicated graphic card. You do not have to reboot to use the other device.
Lenovo ThinkPad R:
The ThinkPad R laptops are budget notebooks.
All new laptops are based on the Intel Centrino 2 chipset and many of them can be equipped with solid state drives instead of normal hard disks. Furthermore, it is possible to get a GPS adapter for some new Lenovo ThinkPads.
