Hardly any time has passed since Garmin delivered a significant new update for its current high-end smartwatches. To recap, the company released Beta Version 15.18 last week to Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 and now Tactix 8 smartwatches with over a dozen bug fixes and improvements.
Nonetheless, the company has now pushed ahead with Beta Version 15.19. Still restricted to Garmin's Beta Program as its name suggests, Beta Version 15.19 brings nine fresh improvements to the table like the Stage Timer app for the Tactix 8 series. Additionally, the new update introduces a setting for adjusting Call Notification vibration patterns.
Beta Version 15.19 is also said to resolve bugs that prevented the Strength Activity from working correctly. Please note that Garmin is not distributing its new beta update automatically to enrolled smartwatches. Instead, one must manually start downloading it by navigating through Menu, System and Software Update on an Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 or Tactix 8 (curr. $1,299.99 on Amazon) before tapping 'Check for Updates'. The full list of changes between Beta Versions v15.18 and v15.19 are as follows:
- Added Setting for Call Notification Vibration Pattern.
- Added Stage Timer App (Tactix 8).
- Fixed Activity Alerts Being Blocked when Device Locked.
- Fixed Find My Watch Feature Being Blocked when Device Locked.
- Fixed Goal Alert Animations Being Blocked when Device Locked.
- Fixed Missing Course Title on Navigation Card on Activity Stage.
- Fixed Potential Crash in Strength Activity.
