Garmin has offered up a significant new update for current high-end smartwatches. Available to download now globally across the Fenix 8 and other associated models, the update stretches to over a dozen changes with several improvements aimed at Garmin's Maps app.

Garmin has well and truly got stuck into its v15.xx development cycle for the Enduro 3, Fenix E and Fenix 8. Initially, the company released Beta Version 15.16, which replaced Stable Version 13.35 with over 60 changes. Shortly afterwards it flighted v15.17, also on its Beta Program, but only with a handful of improvements.

Now, it is offering up Beta Version 15.18 for the same trio of devices. Please note that you must have enrolled your Enduro 3, Fenix E or Fenix 8 (curr. $999.99 on Amazon) on Garmin's Beta Program to try out v15.18 or any future beta updates. It is worth keeping in mind that these builds will arrive with Aviation, Dive and ECG functionality disabled, though.

At any rate, Beta Version 15.18 arrives with 19 changes from Beta Version 15.17. According to Garmin, the new update introduces 14 bug fixes, including a few that relate to its built-in Maps app. Beta Version 15.18 is also said to improve Garmin's Daily Suggestions and Time Settings by making minor changes, while adding a new setting for adjusting notification vibration changes too.
