Xiaomi launches the Roborock G10S series with 5100 Pa suction
Xiaomi has launched two new Roborock self-cleaning robot vacuum and mops, the G10S and the G10SPro. A 5,200 mAh lithium battery powers the gadgets, plus they have 5100 Pa “hurricane” suction and mop at 3,000 sonic vibrations per minute. The devices have been designed by Pininfarina, the car design company with customers including Ferrari and Maserati designs.
Both devices have a self-cleaning dock which Xiaomi describes as “5+2”, with five built-in cleaning functions and two optional extras. The standard features include automatic dustbin emptying and mop cleaning, which gives you 60 days of hands-free cleaning, according to Xiaomi. Optional upgrades include accessories for hot air drying and automatic refilling of the dock’s water tank.
The RR Mason 9.0 algorithm works out when the device needs to recharge, optimizes the route and decides whether to use wet or dry brushing, lifting the mop as necessary. The mop automatically wets, and a deep mopping mode is available for stained areas.
An extra feature included in the Pro model is the live video call tool, which enables you to have two-way communication with family members or pets at home while you’re out. While both devices have lighting solutions for nighttime cleaning; the Pro edition has LED lights instead of the standard infrared light.
You can control the vacuums through the Roborock app or using voice commands. The app includes Matrix Maps, which shows your home layout in AR on iOS devices with lidar scanners. The G10S is available in white, and the G10SPro comes in black. The Roborock G10S and G10SPro are now available to pre-order in China for the discounted prices of 4,799 yuan (~US$753) and 5,699 yuan (~US$895), respectively.
