Xiaomi announces its Vertical Wireless Charging Socket with three USB ports from just 109 yuan (US$16)

Xiaomi has been relentless with its production of gadgets and electronic accessories lately and now we have the Vertical Wireless Charging Socket to join the considerable product lineup. The charging socket will be on Xiaomi’s crowdfunding site from July 15 where it will initially be priced at 109 yuan (US$16). The regular retail price for the Xiaomi Vertical Wireless Charging Socket will be 129 yuan (US$18).

The charging accessory is surprisingly versatile. Along with doubling for a general smartphone stand, the socket can deliver wireless charging power to compatible smartphones that are laid on the unit either vertically or horizontally, thanks to the Xiaomi Vertical Wireless Charging Socket being a dual coil product. Wireless charging can hit a maximum of 10 W while a port output can deliver a maximum of 18 W.

Along with the three handy USB ports, the Xiaomi Vertical Wireless Charging Socket also has connections for standard plugs from devices such as laptops and televisions. If that’s not enough utility and connectivity for a 109-yuan accessory, the Xiaomi socket also has a handy green light that turns on when there is some charging activity going on.
