Xiaomi DOCO ultrasonic handheld misting fan offers up to 5100 rpm of cooling power for just 69 yuan (US$10)

Xiaomi offers users much more than smartphones, laptops, and fitness trackers. The Chinese OEM has put its engineering and design expertise into numerous products and now we have the new Xiaomi DOCO ultrasonic handheld misting fan being unveiled. The portable fan is listed on Youpin for 69 yuan (US$10), and it also comes in a choice of three colors: white, pink, and green.

The Xiaomi DOCO misting fan has three power settings: 3200 rpm, 4100 rpm, and 5100 rpm. The 2000-mAh lithium battery offers decent battery life depending on what power level the handheld misting fan is set at: 12 hours (@3200 rpm), 9 hours (@4100 rpm), and 3.4 hours (@5100 rpm). Xiaomi claims the DOCO fan can lower the temperature around a user by 3 °C (5.4 °F) more than a traditional fan can, and it is powered by a brushless motor that offers 50% more lifespan than a regular motorized fan.

At a price tag of 69 yuan (US$10) and weighing just 155 g/5.4 oz the new Xiaomi DOCO handheld misting fan is appearing on the market just at the right time as the northern hemisphere heads into the summer season. The fan, which comes with a handy stand, operates at a low noise level and the water it sprays is in the form of such a fine mist that it won’t drench its user.
