Asus has already released the ZenBook 14 UX425 in Australia. Now, this machine has been joined in the open by its 13-inch sibling, the UX325. This portable (described as up to 1.11 kilograms (kg) and as 1.39cm in depth) PC has many of its bigger counterpart's best attributes, its 67 watt-hour (Whr) battery with 65W charger, Windows Hello-delivering IR webcam and dual Thunderbolt 3 type C ports included.
Its new Asus Bulgaria specs page also lists it as having Intel Core i3-1005G1 and i5-1035G1 options as well as the UX425's known i7-1065G7 processor. It too has an FHD screen, which apparently comes in 16:9 anti-glare 450- or 300-nit brightness options.
The UX325 can have 8 to 32GB of RAM, paired to various storage SKUs that offer up to 2TB in PCIe 3.0 x4; PCIe 3.0 x2 (in 256GB, 512GB or 1TB flavors); or 32GB Optane memory combined with 512GB or 1TB in hybrid SSDs. The notebook comes in the 14-incher's Pine Gray colorway, and also in a Lilac Mist that is indeed a vaguely purple-tinged silver shade.
However, this new product page does not offer hints as to how much these options would cost. That does not matter much, however, as the new device has turned up on some sales sites already. For example, the UX325JA-AH053T (which has the i5-1035G1, 8GB of RAM and 1TB of unspecified SSD storage) has turned up on Saturn and MediaMarkt, 2 German stores, for €1199 (~US$1349).
Similarly, the UX325JA-EG054T (i5-1035G1/8GB/512GB, and the only one in Lilac Mist thus far) is now to be found on many Swiss-market platforms, starting at 958 swiss francs (CHF; ~$1006). Furthermore, the Slovenian Markoshop now lists the Zenbook 13 UX325JA-WB711R (i7-1065G7/16GB/512GB) for €1279 (~$1439).
However, its base i3-powered model is still nowhere to be found. On that note, the UXn25 line was also originally slated to gain Ryzen 4000-based variants, yet they persist in remaining notable by their absence.
