Xiaomi's next major product event is thought to introduce a series of new flagship Android smartphones of particularly monumental upgrades. Nevertheless, there might be room on that stage for a new smartwatch. It is thought to land as a 4G/LTE-capable successor to the modular Watch S3.

Xiaomi's next new premium smartwatch is thought to debut as the S4, just perhaps without the flexible bands and Suunto optimizations of its pre-existing Sport variant. However, it will definitely retain its support for eSIM-based independent connectivity, according to a new leak.

It consists of an MIIT certification to use 4G/LTE for the Xiaomi M2424W1, identified as the Watch S4 in a previous leak. Therefore, it seems a direct successor for the OEM's interestingly interchangeable-bezel wearable.

The S3 runs HyperOS rather than Wear OS - even when sold on Amazon - and its rumored successor is  said to do no less. It may also support fast 10W charging and have the same round face as its predecessor.

The Watch S4 is predicted to debut alongside some new audio peripherals as well as the Xiaomi 15 series and their tablet counterparts. If so, it might be official by the end of October 2024 as one of the OEM's most premium new products.
