Xiaomi is entering a wave of new smartphone releases after refreshing the Redmi K series with the Redmi K80 Ultra last month. Based on recent rumours, the company plans to introduce initial Redmi Note 15, Redmi K90 and Xiaomi 16 models before the end of the year. On top of that, successors to the Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro (curr. $618 on Amazon) should arrive amid all those other devices.
Now, XpertPick has discovered early references to the budget Redmi 15 5G that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has certified for sale in the US. Bearing the model number 25057RN09G, the device is already visible on IMEI databases with the retail name 'Redmi 15 5G'. As usual, the FCC holds back a lot of information about Xiaomi's unreleased smartphone, including device photos.
A few details can be gleaned from the FCC's documentation, though. For example, the Redmi 15 5G will launch running HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15, which is only Android OS version on from the Redmi 13 5G that the device will be replacing. Also, while the Redmi 15 5G supports a wide range of 5G bands, it peaks at the Wi-Fi 5 standard (IEEE 802.11ac). Presumably, the Redmi 15 5G will debut within the next month or so, given that its predecessor launched at the start of July last year.
