Xiaomi debuted the Band 7 last month alongside the Redmi Note 11T series in China. The Xiaomi Band 7 is a direct successor to the incredibly popular Band 6 and offers a larger display, bigger battery, and new hardware from Goodix.
The Xiaomi Band 7 features Goodix's health sensor, which provides the fitness tracker with its heart rate and Sp02 monitoring capabilities. Goodix claims its solution offers high accuracy and low power consumption in a compact package. Goodix has supplied health sensors to Huawei, OPPO, Amazfit, and a slew of other fitness tracker makers but the Band 7 is Xiaomi's first smart band to feature hardware from the company, although the Xiaomi Watch Color 2's on-body detection sensor and smart sound amplifier chip were supplied by Goodix.
Meanwhile, the Band 7 is set to make the trip over to the global market shortly, likely as the Xiaomi Smart Band 7. The smart band recently made the trip over to the UAE's TDRA for certification, with the model number "BHR6008GL", days after showing up at Singapore's IMDA. It's also appeared at the NCC for certification, strongly pointing at an imminent global launch.
