The global launches of Xiaomi's next flagships are fast approaching. Just last week, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra appeared on Geekbench bearing its global model number. Unfortunately, this variant may only feature a 6,000 mAh battery rather than the 6,800 mAh equivalent found in its Chinese counterpart.
Now, Evan Blass has discovered references to three global-bound Xiaomi flagships on Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). Unsurprisingly, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has made an appearance, again with its 2512BPNDAG model number. Additionally, Xiaomi has certified the Xiaomi 17 with the NBTC as a smaller flagship alternative, just as it did last year with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and the Xiaomi 15 (curr. $837 on Amazon).
Not only that, but the NBTC reiterates that Xiaomi is working to release the 'Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi' too. A name that first popped up on IMEI databases last month, the Leica Leitzphone powered Xiaomi is known as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra by Leica in China. Please see our launch articles for how the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and its 'by Leica' sibling differ. At this stage, it seems fairly nailed on that neither the Xiaomi 17 Pro nor the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max will receive global releases, though.
