The Redmi Turbo 5 Max is set to launch as one of the first phones that's powered by the Dimensity 9500s, which MediaTek recently revealed. This SoC promises to deliver flagship-grade performance, and now, the design of the smartphone has been fully revealed.
As the official renders show, the rear of the phone won't be any different than the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro in terms of the overall design. The rear shots also confirm that the back camera setup will feature a 50 MP primary camera, which could be the same f/1.5 sensor as the Turbo 4 Pro. It will be paired with a secondary camera, which will likely be an ultrawide.
Moving to the front, the shared pictures show a display with thin bezels on all four sides. Just like some of the recent premium phones from Xiaomi, the bezel appears to be of the same size on each side, and the selfie camera is housed within a centered punch-hole cutout on the top.
In addition to sharing the full design, Xiaomi has confirmed a key spec of the Turbo 5 Max. Per one of the recent teasers, the phone will pack a 9,000 mAh battery, a notable upgrade over the Turbo 4 Pro (12/256 GB curr. $299.11 on TradingShenzhen).
With the efficiency of the SoC and other optimizations, the battery of the phone is said to offer the same level of performance as a 10,000 mAh battery. Regardless, this rated capacity makes the Turbo 5 Max the largest battery smartphone within the company's portfolio.
There's still no word on when the Redmi Turbo 5 Max will launch, but the Chinese launch is on the horizon. Xiaomi is expected to launch it in the global market as the Poco X8 Pro Max.
