The OnePlus 15 features a 7,300mAh silicon-carbon dual-cell battery with support for 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. In our review, the phone lasted over 66 hours on a single charge in idle usage testing without WiFi. For comparison, its predecessor, the OnePlus 13, lasted under 38 hours in the same test.
Now, a new leak has surfaced online suggesting that OnePlus might introduce an even larger battery for the OnePlus 16. According to @OnePlusClub on X, the OnePlus 16 will feature a “next-gen Glacier Battery” with a capacity of around 9,000mAh. For context, in the performance-oriented flagship segment, Honor already offers a 10,000mAh battery with the new Honor Win. However, the OnePlus 16's rumored 9,000mAh capacity would still be a major upgrade over the OnePlus 15.
Another expected upgrade for the OnePlus 16 is a 200MP camera. For now, it is unclear whether the 200MP sensor will be used for the primary or telephoto camera. According to a previous leak, the OnePlus 16’s camera setup could be similar to the upcoming Oppo Find N6. The OnePlus 16 is also rumored to feature a display with a refresh rate of at least 200Hz.
Like the OnePlus 15, its successor is expected to launch in Q4 2026. Since the above information is based on leaks, it should be treated with caution.
