Xiaomi has now officially confirmed its launch plans for the Xiaomi 15 series globally. The company released the Xiaomi 15 in China last year and is set to bring both it and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra to the global market shortly.
As posted on Xiaomi's official X (formerly Twitter) page, the Xiaomi 15 series is set to debut globally on March 2. Like with previous entries in the series, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be unveiled at MWC in Barcelona, with the teaser image captioned "See you at the pinnacle" confirming Xiaomi's lofty goals for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will launch with an impressive rear camera system—the star of the show being a new 200 MP sensor beneath a 4.3x periscope lens. Company CEO Lei Jun recently shared an image sample captured by that camera, showcasing its standout low-light performance.
While the flagship's cameras may be stellar, word on the grapevine indicates it may take a hit in the battery department. Globally, at least. Supposedly, the global version of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will come equipped with a smaller battery than the Chinese model. New leaks tout a 5410 mAh battery for the global model. That may be disappointing to potential buyers but devices like the Poco X7 Pro (buy on Amazon), Vivo X200 Pro, and Honor Magic 7 Pro have all had similar issues this year.
