Garmin has rolled out the Public Beta Version 22.21 update for the Forerunner 165, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 265, Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965 smartwatches (curr. $588.04 at Amazon). It arrived two weeks after version 22.18, which added support for a Passcode and new custom workouts for the Stair Stepper profile.
Version 22.21 focuses on a series of bug fixes for these Forerunner wearables. The change log notes that an issue with the interval max heart rate field during swim rest has been resolved. Garmin has also addressed problems with the set count on the edit reps page, the race calendar countdown timer and the icons notification glance tap-in. The final line in the release notes indicates that there are other minor bug fixes and improvements without providing further information.
Users have already flagged a couple of possible issues with the release. Garmin is currently reviewing reports of incorrectly labelled Body Battery events, and a couple of other users indicate that they cannot currently edit glances. The higher-than-expected battery drain issue also appears to persist.
In a post on the Garmin Forum, a team member stated that Public Beta Version 22.21 was now available for all users signed up to the company's beta testing program. If you are enrolled, you can download the update by going to the Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates. Those wishing to sign up for the beta program can do so via Garmin Connect.
