Xiaomi has begun teasing its next global product announcement, thought to be for the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. While the company unveiled the pair last month in China, it has not provided details on when they will be available elsewhere. For context, Xiaomi launched the Mi 11 globally on February 8 2021, having been unveiled on December 28, 2020.
As the screenshot below shows, Xiaomi has informed its followers that it is ready, interpreted by many as being ready for the Xiaomi 12 series. Incidentally, Xiaomi ran a similar campaign last year for the Mi 11's global launch, which started on January 29, 2021. Hence, it seems likely that Xiaomi will unveil the Xiaomi 12 series within the next week or so, as William Zimmer from Phonandroid and Tom's Guide theorises.
Xiaomi decided against releasing the Mi 11 Pro globally, with the Mi 11 Ultra joining the Mi 11 in other markets instead. Recent certification sightings suggest that Xiaomi will sell the Xiaomi 12 Pro alongside the Xiaomi 12, though. As we have discussed previously, Xiaomi certified the pair with the SDPPI in Indonesia as the 2201122G and 2201123G, respectively.
Unfortunately, it remains unclear how much the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro will cost outside China. You can read more about the Xiaomi 12 and the Xiaomi 12 Pro in our corresponding articles.
