Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro get certified ahead of global release

Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X on December 28 for the Chinese. The company is expected to bring the phones over to the global market, and that looks to be drawing nearer, as the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro have now been spotted doing the certification routine outside China.

Both the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro have now been seen getting certified over at SDPPI—the Indonesian Directorate General of Resources and Equipment for Post and Information Technology. The two phones reported in with the model numbers "2201123G" and "2201122G" for the vanilla and Pro models respectively.

What this implies is that Xiaomi could bring the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro pair over to the global market, after keeping the Mi 11 Pro as a China-exclusive last year. It's unknown, however, if the Xiaomi 12X will make the trip as well, as this listing makes no references to the Snapdragon 870-powered phone. We'll keep you updated on this.
