Xiaomi has confirmed its plans to release the Redmi Note 11S in a not-so-subtle teaser. Embedded above, the teaser contains the text 'New Note 1S Com1ng' and a single shot of the device's back panel. Currently, only Xiaomi's Redmi India subsidiary has referenced the device's existence, as has a Global VP of the former.
Unsurprisingly, Xiaomi has obscured what the device looks like. However, adjusting the image's brightness levels reveals that it has four rear-facing cameras with a 108 MP main sensor at the top. Xiaomi will also market the device as having an 'AI Camera'. Also, the Redmi Note 11S has flat edges, matching the rest of the Redmi Note 11 series.
Based on FCC certifications, the Redmi Note 11S will start with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Xiaomi will also offer the device with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, plus a variant with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Additionally, the Redmi Note 11S should launch with Android 12 and MIUI 13. A precise release date remains unknown at this stage, but we do not imagine it can be more than a few weeks away.
If the Redmi Note 11S is another Redmi Note 11 series re-brand, it will have a 6.67-inch display and a Dimensity 920 SoC. Incidentally, the Xiaomi 11T Pro will join the Redmi Note 11S in India soon, as we have discussed separately.
