Wuthering Waves 3.7 adds long-awaited features and characters

Kuro Games has officially detailed Wuthering Waves Version 3.7, titled "Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination," which launches globally on September 30, 2026, following scheduled server maintenance.

The update concludes the Xuanfang storyline through Main Quest Chapter IV Act IV, "Simulacrum of the Heart," alongside a new Tales Quest, "Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing," unlocked after finishing the main quest. It also opens a new area, the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou, made up of several linked zones including the Heartscape Labyrinth and four elemental "Heart" regions. 

A new permanent event, Blooms for the Shadow, arrives alongside it, along with five new Echoes, a new Tacet Discord Nest, and three new Sonata Effect sets. Kuro is also running a slate of limited-time events, including the Cubie Wars leisure event and the Artisan's Search combat event, plus the Solaris Starry Stage program celebrating fan creations.

New playable Resonators

Wuthering Waves Version 3.7 debuts two new 5-star Resonators through separate Featured Convenes. Hsin, Mengzhou's first playable Sentinel, arrives in Phase 1 as an Electro Rectifier user, paired with her signature weapon, the Rectifier Blooming Jadehaven, on its own Featured Weapon Convene. Suoming, an Electro Sword user, follows in Phase 2 alongside her own signature weapon, the Sword Unspoken Rue.

Quality-of-life upgrades

The patch adds a Replay Mode, letting players revisit the Main Quests of Versions 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 with saved progress. Echo management is also improving, with eligible unequipped, non-upgraded Echoes now stacking automatically when they share the same type, Sonata Effect, and mainstat, and each backpack slot able to hold up to 999 Echoes. Team management gets a new 3D display mode for lineups, letting players toggle between 2D and 3D presentations, though Kuro notes 3D mode may not be supported on every device.

The in-game camera system has also been optimized, with reporting pointing to new handheld and selfie modes and a freer, drone-style tripod perspective, alongside composition tools and environmental controls for time, weather, and foliage wind direction. Kuro is beginning a limited test of Tiered Client Resource Downloads across PC, iOS, and Android, letting eligible players choose between UHD, HD, or SD asset packages to balance download size against graphics quality; players not selected for the test will default to the HD package.
