Aniimo launches globally on iOS and Android

A week after its PC and console debut on September 16, Aniimo has made it to iOS and Android. The mobile launch of Pawprint Studio's open-world creature-catching RPG isn't a separate product bolted onto the original; link an Aniimo Pass account and the same save follows you across mobile, PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with cross-play tying all of it together.
Twine ability and pre-registration numbers
Pathfinders is what Pawprint Studio calls its players, and Idyll is where they play. The mechanic holding the game together is Twine, which lets a Pathfinder essentially borrow traits from any of over 200 Aniimo species: their movement, mostly, which opens up terrain that's otherwise off-limits, but also combat moves specific to that species. More than 40 million people pre-registered before any of this went live. On the question of whether mobile got a lesser version of the game, Pawprint Studio's answer is no. Egg Heist survived the jump intact, and so did Homeland, the base-building system that shipped with the original release.
Mobile-exclusive content and launch rewards
One thing sets the mobile build apart: an Obsidian Aniimo variant that PC and console players simply don't have access to. As for rewards, Pawprint Studio tied its biggest one to actual progress rather than showing up every day, so hitting the Junior Wayfarer milestone earns a free Prismana-form Aniimo, chosen by the player. Catching items and cosmetics from ongoing events come on top. Touch controls and gamepad support were each tuned separately for mobile, and the voice acting now covers more languages than it did at launch.
System requirements
Storage-wise, budget around 18GB on Android, which also needs Vulkan 1.1, a Snapdragon 855 or Dimensity 1000 chip at the low end, 6GB RAM, and Android 10 to run. iOS asks for similar storage, an iPhone 11 or newer, and iOS 16. Progression carries over fully between platforms, so nobody switching to their phone from PC or console has to start their collection over.
