Kingdom Hearts Collection set for launch everywhere

Square Enix will release Kingdom Hearts Collection [I〜III] on October 8, 2026, bringing the series natively to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. A PC version is also planned through the Microsoft Store. On Nintendo hardware, the bundle replaces the cloud-streamed versions with native builds, and pre-orders are open across platforms.

What is included in the collection

The collection combines three bundles that cover the Dark Seeker Saga. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX includes Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, and Birth by Sleep Final Mix, along with HD cinematic versions of 358/2 Days and Re:coded. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue adds Dream Drop Distance HD, the short episode Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep, and the Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover movie. The set closes with Kingdom Hearts III and its Re:Mind DLC.

Pre-order bonuses and early access

Digital pre-orders on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S include 48-hour early access to the collection and to Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind. Each platform also gets an exclusive Keyblade with purchase: Midnight Blue on PS5, Phantom Green on Xbox Series X|S, and Long Night on Switch 2. Physical editions have been announced for PS5 and Switch 2, but none is listed for Xbox. Square Enix has not published frame rate or load time targets for the new builds.

Upgrade discounts and the Switch 2 demo

Players who own digital versions on PS4, Xbox One, or Switch Cloud can claim a 50% discount on digital pre-orders and post-launch purchases. The discount does not apply to physical editions. On Switch 2, Nintendo's store page says the collection discount requires owning every cloud title individually or the Integrum Masterpiece cloud bundle.

Cloud owners can transfer saves to Switch 2, but other platforms do not support save transfers. The cloud versions are no longer sold and will stop working on June 9, 2027. Nintendo Switch owners can still buy HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX natively.

A free Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind demo is available on Switch 2. It covers early Olympus, where progress carries over to the full game, and the first half of Toy Box, where it does not. Kingdom Hearts IV remains in development.
