Update | WAU CYBER hyped as "Tesla of electric bikes" ahead of Indiegogo launch
Update: The WAU CYBER is now live on Indiegogo, and comes in a production run of just 250 units as indicated earlier, in 250W, 750W or (an on-paper incredible) 5,000W motor variants, with up to 55mph top speeds (dependent on variant chosen) and up to 200 miles of range (also variant-dependent). Its maker thust touts it as "the most advanced e-bike" - unfortunately, that claim does not come cheap.
Its prices range from US$2,999 for the 250W base model all the way to US$3,299 the "SUPER CYBER" 5000W top-end SKU - and that is with early-bird discounts of up to 40% via its new crowdfunding page.
Original Article: The WAU CYBER's new "Coming Soon" page promotes it as a "masterpiece of both design and engineering" that helps it stand out from the e-bike crowd and live up to its name all at once. The resulting "highest spec'd, most powerful eBike the world has ever seen" is coming to Indiegogo soon.
The vehicle's maker (presumably also called WAU?) has yet to specify an exact start date for this event, or to hint at the hardware, stats or features that back its "Tesla of e-bikes" claim up. Then again, they are clearly slated to include a custom, appropriately cyberpunk-looking head- and tail-lights that go with its aggressive, enclosed build thus far.
The WAU CYBER also seems to come in 6 different colorways - although some might be the "Limited Edition skins", of which only 25 will be available on the electric bike's debut. A "Founders Edition Run" of 250 units is also on the cards, although the OEM has (again) yet to outline how it might distinguish itself from a standard model.
