Eovolt New Morning and New Afternoon foldable e-bikes revealed
Eovolt has revealed the New Morning and New Afternoon foldable e-bikes at the Pro-Days trade show in Paris. Like their predecessors, the Morning and Afternoon, the latest models feature a 250W 36V Bafang motor mounted at the rear, assisting you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph) and delivering 40 Nm torque.
The new Eovolt models have a 360 Wh battery stored inside the bicycle’s frame, providing around 80 km (~49.7 miles) of assistance range between charges. A full recharge of the power pack takes four to five hours. The e-bikes feature Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, a Gates belt transmission and 2.15-in (~55 mm) thick Schwalbe Pick-Up tires. The New Morning has 16-in wheels and weighs 17.5 kg (~38.6 lbs), while the New Afternoon has larger 20-in wheels and is slightly heavier at 19.5 kg (~43.0 lbs).
The Eovolt New Morning and New Afternoon e-bikes are due to launch in Europe near the end of Q1 2024, retailing for €2,999 (~US$3,267). For context, the Eovolt Morning and Afternoon models currently cost €1,699 (~US$1,851) in the EU; it is believed that the premium component used in the new e-bikes has caused the sharp price increase.
