KTM unveils new carbon framed Macina Sport SX Prime e-bike
KTM has revealed its 2024 Macina Sport SX Prime e-bike in the EU. The light e-trekking model uses the same Bosch Performance SX Smart System as the Macina Revelator SX Prime road bike; this combines a 55 Nm motor, providing a top assistance speed of 25 kph (~16 mph) with a 400Wh CompactTube battery. You can control the assistance level or view your speed and remaining battery level on the integrated Bosch Purion 200 Display & Remote.
The Macina Sport SX Prime’s Purion 200 provides a smart walk assistance mode and connectivity to the eBike Flow app for OTA updates. The new electric bicycle also features an SRAM X0 Eagle T-Type 12-speed rear derailleur and a FOX Float 32 TC Factory 50mm FIT4 suspension fork. Schwalbe G-One Overland SuperGround TLE 45-622 tires provide grip with Magura MTI 2-Piston brakes for shorter stopping distances. Other features include a KTM Alumee light (snap-it 2.0) rear rack, a Litemove AE-200 headlight and an AXA Juno LED brake light.
Without pedals, the carbon e-bike weighs 16.7 kg (~36.8 lbs) with a total permissible weight of 121 kg (~267 lbs). Retailers such as ElektroFahrrad24.de in Germany have already listed the 2024 KTM Macina Sport SX Prime e-bike, which retails for €8,199 (~US$8,920). It remains unclear when the model will be available to purchase.
