Valve announces nominees for the 2024 Steam Awards
After Astro Bot made a surprise upset at The Game Awards, those who want their horse to win still have a second chance. Plus, there are no console exclusives to worry about this time. Nominees for The Steam Awards have been officially unveiled, and they include multiple categories such as Game Of The Year, Best Game on Steam Deck, Labour of Love, and more. Anyone with a Steam account can cast their votes starting tomorrow, December 19. Voting ends on December 31.

There are several other categories such as Most Innovative Gameplay, Outstanding Visual Style, VR Game of the Year, VR Game of the Year, Most Innovative Gameplay and the aptly named Best Game You Suck At. Exactly what is God of War: Ragnarok, a 190 GB game that requires a mandatory PlayStation Network login, going in the Best Game on Steam Deck category is a mystery. Everything else seems normal, with heavy-hitters such as Black Myth: Wukong and Balatro being nominated in multiple categories.
