Laptops with GeForce RTX 5070 graphics have been widely available for several months now following the launches of the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Ti. As usual, however, we can expect the GPU to perform faster on certain laptop models than others based on a variety of factors. The graphs below compare several RTX 5070 laptops from slowest to fastest that we have personally tested.

Most notably, the performance delta between the slowest and fastest models thus far with the same RTX 5070 GPU is much smaller than the delta between the slowest and fastest models with RTX 5090 graphics. This means that users looking to buy an RTX 5070 laptop won't have to worry as much about significant performance deficits or underperforming models. The Gigabyte Aero X16, for example, is only about 15 percent slower than the new Razer Blade 14 whereas certain RTX 5090 laptops can be over 30 percent apart. Nonetheless, users looking for the fastest RTX 5070 options should consider the Asus ProArt P16 or aforementioned Razer.

Another option worth considering is a laptop with RTX 5070 Ti graphics like the MSI Vector A18 which can offer a sizable performance boost of 30 to 40 percent over current RTX 5070 offerings. Its entry this generation is new whereas there was no such thing as an RTX 4070 Ti laptop during the previous Ada Lovelace generation.
