Nvidia is expected to launch the RTX 50 Super GPUs in the coming months. The series, which could have both high-end boards like the RTX 5080 Super and low-end boards like the RTX 5060 Super, is said to bring mainly VRAM upgrades over the non-Super RTX 50 GPUs.

It seems Nvidia is actively developing a “Super” refresh of the RTX 50 series GPUs. The refreshed lineup is expected to include:

  • RTX 5080 Super
  • RTX 5070 Ti Super
  • RTX 5070 Super

While we know the alleged hardware specs of the RTX 5080 Super, thanks to kopite7kimi, the leaker has now also revealed the specs of the RTX 5070 Ti Super and the RTX 5070 Super. In this article, we will take a look at the RTX 5070 Super, as we’ve already covered the RTX 5070 Ti Super in a separate piece.

RTX 5070 Super specs

According to kopite7kimi, the RTX 5070 Super uses the same GB205 GPU as the RTX 5070, but with a slightly higher CUDA core count and more VRAM. The GB205-400-A1 GPU inside the RTX 5070 Super allegedly packs around 6,400 CUDA cores, an increase of around 4.2%.

To feed the higher number of CUDA cores, Nvidia has reportedly increased the RTX 5070 Super TDP to 275 W. The RTX 5070 non-Super has a TDP of 250 W. It remains to be seen if this 10% TDP increase results in any meaningful clock speed bump.

Finally, the RTX 5070 Super seemingly brings 18 GB of 28 Gbps GDDR7 memory to the table. This is great news, as it is a 50% increase over the 12 GB of VRAM, which was one of the biggest complaints when it comes to the RTX 5070. The bus width, however, allegedly remains the same at a 192-bit.

RTX 5070 Super price and release date

Adding to kopite7kimi’s information, RedGamingTech reports the price and release date estimates for the RTX 50 series refresh. The leaker reports that the RTX 5070 Super, alongside other Super series cards, could release in late 2025 or early 2026. This is also the same time frame that we have for AMD’s RTX 50 Super challenger(s).

As for price, RGT alleges that, “per a fairly reliable source”, the RTX 50 Super series prices look like the following:

  • $349 for RTX 5060 Super (12 GB of VRAM)
  • $599 for RTX 5070 Super
  • $849 for RTX 5070 Ti Super
  • $1,149 for RTX 5080 Super

If these prices are accurate, we are looking at a $50 increase for the RTX 5070 Super vs the RTX 5070, a $100 bump for the RTX 5070 Ti Super vs the RTX 5070 Ti, and a $150 surcharge for the RTX 5080 Super vs the RTX 5080. The RTX 5060 Super is also $50 more than the RTX 5060 according to RGT’s projections.

That said, GPU pricing is quite tricky to nail down before launch. So, take this RTX 50 Super pricing information with a giant grain of salt.
