The new LG CineBeam projector can throw a 100-inch image and weighs 1.1 pounds
LG has launched a new variant of its CineBeam projector series. The PH30N is rated to throw an image of up to 100 inches in diagonal length, so long as it is set 10.8 feet from a vertical surface. This window would be of an HD resolution, although the OEM asserts that it would also be "deep and rich", and have a brightness of up to 250 ANSI.
Therefore, this device may be more suited to projection on the go or outdoors. Accordingly, its 5x5x1.5-inch form factor is described as only 1.1 pounds in weight. LG imagines that the user could throw it into many kinds of bag or even some pockets for set-up in moments.
The CineBeam PH30N also has an inbuilt battery, rated for up to 2 hours of content-consumption. It powers an LED lamp, rated for up to 30,000 hours of use. It can display video via either wireless connections or its USB port.
The new projector is now available from LG's online store or the OEM's authorized retailers for a recommended price of US$399.99.
