MWC 2024 | Tecno Mega Mini Gaming G1 mini PC packs water-cooled Nvidia RTX 4060 and Intel Core i9 CPU
The Tecno Mega Mini Gaming G1 isn't the company's first mini PC, but it's definitely the most interesting one. As a matter of fact, it's claiming to be the world's smallest computer with water cooling. While it's not yet clear whether the system lives up to its claim, it's indeed a powerful compact PC.
Under the hood, the configuration that Tecno showcased at MWC 2024 packed an Intel Core i9-13900H CPU, but the press release of the mini PC says that it will be available with Intel Core Ultra processors too. The demo unit paired that processor with the Nvidia RTX 4060, which is likely the laptop variant of the GPU.
But the good news is that the Tecno Mega Mini Gaming G1 mini PC has an OCuLink port. Thanks to that, you can hook it up with external graphics docks and pair the system with more powerful desktop-grade GPUs (ASUS Dual RTX 4070 Super curr. $589.99 on Amazon).
In terms of storage and memory, the mini PC demoed at MWC 2024 was equipped with a 1 TB SSD (WD_BLACK SN850X curr. $84.99 on Amazon) and 32 GB of RAM. There is also a rich selection of connectivity options, including Thunderbolt 4 and WiFi 6E. But the main star of the show is the water cooling setup.
Tecno says that this cooling system can efficiently keep the system cool and allow it to offer stable performance. There's also a small screen on the chassis, which shows some basic stats like CPU, GPU, and RAM usage with CPU temp. You can check out the mini PC from the video attached below.
