Steam Frame launch seems near as Valve quietly marks its Wireless Adapter driver as "Released"

Valve has already checked off two of the three products it announced as part of its latest hardware lineup. The Steam Controller is now available, while the Steam Machine has also officially launched. That leaves just one device still waiting to hit the market: the Steam Frame.
So far, Valve has remained quiet about its upcoming VR headset. The company has not revealed its launch date, pricing, or full release plans. However, a new development suggests that the wait may not be much longer.
Valve recently released another Steam Frame Wireless Adapter Driver update. While the company has pushed several updates for the driver in the past, this latest one stands out for an important reason. According to SteamDB, the driver is now listed as a Windows tool, and its status has changed to "Released."
On its own, that may not seem like a major announcement, but it could indicate that Valve is preparing the software needed for the headset's public launch. Hardware manufacturers often finalize drivers and supporting software shortly before a product becomes available.
Another interesting detail is that SteamDB currently shows 21 people trying the new driver update, and these could be testers who currently have access to the hardware. If that's the case, it could suggest that review units have already been distributed and that testing is well underway ahead of launch.
For reference, when the Steam Machine’s reviews were underway, Valve announced its price and release date after around a week. If the company follows a similar timeline this time around, there's a good chance Valve could finally reveal the Steam Frame's price and release date sometime next week. Valve has also started giving out Steam Frame compatibility ratings to games, which is another good sign.
