While Valve is yet to reveal the Steam Frame's release date and price, it has been preparing for its launch behind the scenes. And recently, the company added its Welcome Tour to Steam's backend.

Valve has already launched the Steam Controller and Steam Machine, and many fans are now looking forward to the Steam Frame, the company's upcoming VR headset. While Valve has not officially announced the headset's release date or price yet, a series of new backend changes suggest that its launch may not be far away.

As spotted by industry insider Brad Lynch, Valve has added the Steam Frame Welcome Tour to Steam's backend. The newly added files include references to the Welcome Tour, which will help new users get familiar with the headset after setting it up. On top of that, Valve has also localized it into all the required languages.

The Welcome Tour isn't the only major addition. Valve has also introduced Steam Frame compatibility filters on Steam, allowing users to browse games based on their compatibility with the headset. On top of that, the company has added compatibility icons that show whether a game is Verified, Playable, Unsupported, or Unknown on Steam Frame, similar to the system used for Steam Deck.

Since all of these backend changes appeared today, they are another strong indication that Valve is getting close to launching the headset. Over the past few weeks, the company has also been receiving multiple shipments related to Steam Frame, so fans may not have to wait much longer for an official announcement.
