Meccha Chameleon cheaters are making it almost impossible to find them

The massively popular online PVP game Meccha Chameleon has been entertaining hundreds of thousands of gamers since its launch early last month. All this attention has inevitably attracted some cheaters who are using hacks to make themselves undetectable.
For those unaware, Meccha Chameleon is essentially hide-and-seek on steroids. It allows players controlling blank white 3D stick figures to hide by painting themselves to camouflage with the environment. The more foresight and manual precision you put into it, the lower your chances are of getting caught. As noted by a few social media posts, cheaters have somehow implemented auto scan and paint, making it very difficult to detect their presence.
The videos posted on X show the cheater standing in front of a painting and their character being automatically painted to exactly match the background. In one instance, other players who noticed this put arrows on their bodies and stood next to the cheater to point them out. As hilarious as it is to see the cheater disappear and then reappear on a plain white wall with half the background from the previous hiding attempt, this could ruin the experience for many players.
For now, cheating instances aren’t as widespread, but it is unclear if these have already been noted by the devs.
Meccha Chameleon has been developed and published by lemorion_1224 and, since its launch, has peaked at over 340,500 players. At the time of publishing, there are over 117,000 players in-game. Within a month, the game has sold 15 million copies and counting.
