Small RX 7600 reference model surfaces with a design similar to RX 7900 XT/XTX
Following the announcement of the RTX 4060 and the RTX 4060 Ti, the reveal of the RX 7600 appears to be imminent. As such, leaks and rumors regarding the GPU have been aplenty. For instance, we reported that the RX 7600 could feature a Navi 33 XL GPU with 32 Compute Units (CU) and 8 GB of RAM. We also detailed the possible pricing of the new RDNA 3 card. Thanks to VideoCardz, we now have our first look at the reference “Made by AMD (MBA)” RX 7600 board.
First up, the design of the reference RX 7600 resembles the RX 7900 XT/XTX with similar-looking fans and an angular shroud. Per VideoCardz, the MBA RX 7600 measures shorter than 21 cm (8.3 inches) in length which means it could be about the size of the reference single-fan RX 6600 which measures 19 cm (7.5 inches). So, the RX 7600 MBA seems to be a two-slot card that would comfortably fit inside most cases.
Moving on, the RX 7600 in question appears to have 8 PCIe Gen 4 lanes, three DisplayPort 2.1 ports, and one HDMI 2.1 output. A single 8-pin power connector handles power delivery.
Finally, it remains to be seen whether the reference RX 7600 is a mass-market release or just a limited number of units make their way onto the store shelves. We expect the latter as several AIB models are also in the works.
