Redmi launches the up-to-65-inch Smart TV X series in India
Redmi has announced that its Smart TV Xs will be available to buy in India soon. The Xiaomi brand has also indicated that, as opposed to the variants of these big-screens already on sale in China, these units will also be made in that country.
The X50, X55 and X65 have a quad ARM Cortex A55-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. They also feature a total of 30W of audio power, tuned by DTS Virtual-X, as well as Dolby Audio (albeit only through their eARC-enabled HDMI port).
Redmi also asserts they support Reality Flow, which is Xiaomi for MEMC. The Smart TV Xs run PatchWall 3.0, based on Android 10, which would make them members of a relatively small club of flat-screen devices with an OS this up to date in India. They also introduce the Mi Home app to their new market, which would allow them to control any other IoT products from their OEM found in an owner's home.
The Redmi Smart TV X line will be released later in March 2021, and will be available via Mi.com/in and Amazon India. They are slated to cost INR 32,999 (~US$455) for the X50; INR 38,999 (~$537) for the X55 and INR 57,999 (~$799) for the top-end X65.
