Redfall PC system requirements unveiled: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080/AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT required for an "Ultra" experience
Redfall (rightfully) got a lot of flak for not including a 60 FPS mode at launch on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X. While the feature will arrive later via a software update, forcing gamers to play at 30 FPS in 2023 is borderline unacceptable. PC players, on the other hand, may have better luck, as its system requirements have been revealed. Unlike many of the AAA games released this year, Redfall doesn't seem to be nearly as taxing. Its minimum CPU and graphics card requirements are fairly relaxed:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-8400/AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 580/Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070
- Memory: 16 GB
Arkane recommends the following specs to run Redfall on PC:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K/AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
- Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 5700/Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080
- Memory: 16 GB
Requiremets for the "Ultra" experience are surprisingly low and include:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K/AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
- Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT/Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080
- Memory: 32 GB
Redfall requires at least 100 GB of storage space, which seems to be the norm now. One can take solace in the fact that it doesn't take 156 GB like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Arkane's refusal to add a target resolution/framerate for each configuration is a bit of a red flag, more so in a era when bad PC ports have become the rule instead of the exception. Nonetheless, its requirements aren't as egregious as some titles such as Hogwarts Legacy, Forspoken and The Last of Us Part 1.
