The RDNA 3 Navi 33 GPU is rumored to be featured in the upcoming RX 7600 and RX 7600 XT. According to Tom from Moore’s Law Is Dead, the Navi 33 outperforms the RX 6650 XT by a notable margin, possibly reaching levels offered by the RX 6700 XT. The GPU also reportedly consumes 175 W while doing so.

We reported back in January that the performance of AMD’s mid-range Navi 33 GPU could fall between the RX 6650 XT and the RX 6750 XT. Now a new leak from serial leaker Moore’s Law Is Dead seems to imply the same thing.

Per one of MLID’s AIB sources who received an “early desktop Navi 33 card”, the GPU is performing 11% better vs the RX 6650 XT. To put this figure into perspective, the RX 6700 XT appears 15% faster than the RX 6650 XT according to our testing. So, we can expect the Navi 33 card in question, possibly the RX 7600 XT, to perform similarly or better than the RX 6700 XT with final drivers.

Furthermore, the card reportedly achieved this performance advantage over the RX 6650 XT with a power draw of only 175 W. As a refresher, the Navi 33-based RX 7600 and 7600 XT are rumored to have a TBP of 140 W and 180 W respectively.

Finally, MLID’s source also mentions that, although they “aren’t 100% sure of the specs”, they do know that the card has boost clocks of over 2.6 GHz and has 8 GB of VRAM. The information is in line with a previous report from RedGamingTech that claimed the RX 7600 XT’s boost clock to be 2.8 GHz.

In short, the Navi 33-based RX 7600 XT could deliver a mentionable gain over the last-gen RX 6600 XT if MLID’s rumors are accurate. But, as always, it is better to exercise caution when discussing such reports.
