The launch of several exciting smartphones is pending this week. While it has been known for some time that the Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro as well as the RedMagic 9 Pro will be unveiled on Thursday, Realme is pushing it a day earlier with a newly announced launch date.
It also has been clear for some time now that Realme would unveil the new flagship model Realme GT5 Pro sometime this month. The manufacturer has now announced the exact date: November 22, 2023 at 2 pm local time in China, i.e. on Wednesday of this week.
In addition to announcing the launch date, Realme has once again made some bold promises via teasers. Xu Qi, Realme President of Global Marketing and President of China, announced on Weibo that the Realme GT5 Pro will be nothing less than a turning point in smartphone photography. To this end, the company has teamed up with Qualcomm and ArcSoft. He also shared a few sample photos taken in difficult lighting conditions.
The manufacturer states that the Realme GT5 Pro will be the first Android smartphone to support telephoto video recordings in Dolby Vision HDR, i.e. with particularly high contrast. It is already clear that the GT5 Pro has a Sony LYTIA sensor, namely the Sony LYT-808 (according to a previous leak). Moreover, the smartphone will have a screen from BOE that has been specially adapted to flagship requirements, including a high brightness of 3,000 nits. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and up to 24 GB of RAM are also included.
