Samsung Galaxy A15 revealed at Walmart, including price, new design and specs
After the Galaxy A15 5G was recently spotted on Geekbench, Roland Quandt has now discovered the next-generation mid-range smartphone in Walmart's online store, so the official launch is likely to be imminent.
The device comes with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash storage for USD 139, meaning it is unlikely to be more expensive than the Galaxy A14. The back is a striking dark blue, but the major design innovation is the frame, which is flat instead of slightly rounded and has a bulge on the right-hand side that houses the lock button and volume rocker.
A pity is the fact that the front has not been modernized, so the Galaxy A15 5G still has a relatively wide chin and a notch. Walmart specifies a MediaTek chip with boost clock speeds of up to 2.2 GHz. As previous leaks have shown, this is the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+, which combines two Cortex A76 performance cores at 2.2 GHz with six Cortex A55 efficiency cores.
Walmart has also confirmed that Samsung has installed a 6.5-inch display with 1080p+ resolution and a 13 MP selfie camera. The 50 MP main camera is on the back. While the specs of the remaining two cameras are unknown to date, the size of the front lenses suggests that at least one of these cameras is equipped with a less useful 2 MP sensor. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh.
